WADBAG's David Schlanger and David Kuijt ran the Baltic Crusades DBA Scenarios event as part of the DBA at Fall In! 2005 program during Fall In! 2005 (November 11-13, 2005) at Gettysburg, PA.

16 total players were divided evenly into four groups - two Crusader groups and two Pagan groups. Each player competed against the others in his group and played through each of four historical scenarios against four different players from an opposing group.

Championship - Civil War Round

The Championship round matches featured Civil War battles between the winners of each Crusader group and each Pagan group. The Pagan Civil War was played with Early Russian armies as listed in the rulebook. The Crusader Civil War was played with Teutonic Orders armies as listed in the rulebook with the Horde option.

Early Russian Civil War

The Early Russian Civil War was played with fixed terrain from the Winter in Prussia Scenario. The higher scoring group winner had the choice of invader or defender - invader getting preference of board edge and defender getting the element swap.

Hordes to the front!

The lines are broken up, with Jack's horde element squaring off against Larry's horde element in the middle of the battleline.

The Butcher and the Cleaver survey the field

At one point up 3-1, Jack "the Butcher" and his son Peter "the Cleaver" look on as Larry mounts a comeback to take the match. Unfortunately for Jack, the "Cleaver" and his hot dice rolling cooled off in the Prussian snow.

Teutonic Civil War

The Teutonic Civil War was played with fixed terrain from the Winter in Prussia Scenario. The higher scoring group winner had the choice of invader or defender - invader getting preference of board edge and defender getting the element swap.
